I don't think I've ever spent this much time trying to get through a single novel! I'm barely one-third finished with this 1100 page epic. Although published in 1957, it reads like the political headlines of today with government overreach and social justice and political correctness and affirmative action (in order to "level the playing field"). I can't wait to see what happens.
