400,000 miles

And I would walk 500 miles
And you should walk 500 hundred more
Just to see the car that we've been driving
'Round and 'round and 'round some more.
(do-do-doot-do, do-do-doot-do)

In February 1992, Mr. Rellim and I welcomed a four-wheeled masterpiece into our family - an brand new almond/beige/pearl colored Camry DX. The interior has seen better days and part of the undercarriage shows the marks of a tangle with a little dog. It tends to leak a bit of oil and there's no CD player, but it gets us where we need to go and gets 30 miles/gallon!

Today, it officially turned over 400,000 miles. We all sat in the car together and drove around the block until it turned. The kids were screaming out the windows like maniacs.

Do you think we should get hobbies?

Perhaps we should send some pictures and our story to Toyota and try to get in an advertisement. Maybe they will buy us a new one!!

I love it. You gotta celebrate the small things.

Have you replaced the windshield yet? I read an article about a car with 700,000 miles. It had been through two windshields because the view got blurry.
